ABOUT

Thinkers Unlimited was developed by Barbara Server-Veloso, MA along with Jocelyn B. Tanyag and Melinda Bianca L. Miciano. Barbara is a co-founder of Toddlers Unlimited, Alabang’s first Developmentally Appropriate School. While Jocelyn and Bianca were senior teachers there, having worked at Toddlers for over 10 years.

In 2014, parents were clamoring for a grade school that met that needs of their children. This group of forward-thinking parents wanted a school where learning was similar to their preschool experience, in the sense that children were actively learning and undeniably enjoying school.

Thinkers Unlimited materialized when the teachers realized the need for a truly progressive grade school in the South. Just like its predecessor, Thinkers Unlimited is guided by developmentally appropriate principles in child development, as specified by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), an organization of Educators and Child Specialists in the United States.

The school follows a process-oriented way of teaching where teachers provide opportunities to explore a wide variety of materials. The child's enjoyment and learning through these explorations are given more importance than the final product.

One basic reality in the Thinkers Program is that we cultivate students to think in creative and critical ways without the unnecessary stress, threat and pressure of failure. Children are actively involved in learning because lessons are presented in ways that invite children to interact, cooperate, collaborate, reason, predict, comprehend, share and explain.

One simple goal we have for all our students is that they come to school with a love for learning.
